Sweet Almond Oil is a nutrient rich oil that nourishes and moisturises both skin and hair. Sweet Almond Oil is rich in vitamin E, monounsaturated fatty acids, proteins, potassium and zinc, which is why it is so good for our skin and hair. Deficiency of magnesium and calcium in particular, results in poor hair growth and hair loss. Zinc is another important mineral for healthy hair; its deficiency is known to cause alopecia, characterised by thinning of hair. Sweet Almond Oil is rich in all of these minerals.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural by-product produced by bees, it is what forms the honeycomb of a beehive. It is an excellent humectant for the skin and hair as it seals in moisture. It is also the ingredient that gives our balms their solid feel, and assists with the “hold factor” in our Beard Balm and Moustache Wax.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is incredibly nourishing for your skin and hair. It deeply moisturises your hair and assists with keeping it strong and healthy. Cocoa Butter has also been known to assist with reducing hair loss. Much like coconut oil, cocoa butter has healing and softening properties that will make your hair healthy and shiny.

Lanolin

Lanolin is an excellent skin and hair moisturiser which comes from the fleeces of sheep. In the spring when sheep are shorn the lanolin is removed from the fleece before it is then processed into woollen yarn. Lanolin is used in our Moustache Wax to assist with the spreadability of the product.

Shea Butter is an excellent emollient and skin moisturising agent, which assists in preventing hair loss, and is soothing to an itchy or dry scalp and skin.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps repair and build tissue. When you apply vitamin E to your scalp and skin, it helps reduce inflammation and assists in repairing damaged hair follicles, encouraging hair growth. It also acts as a natural preservative to increase the "shelf life" of our products.
